The Cursed Volt

This is the Cursed Volt, a handheld railgun so strong that it can reduce it's target to dust in just one shot, known to be the strongest handgun in the known universe, it carries a grim curse. It is said that whoever uses it even once dies in the process. It's number of users marked in the body of the weapon, it should be used carefully.
This gun was modeled in blender, textured in substance and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. The gun is an original concept by Alexander Kriegerman. This was mostly an exploration of the game asset pipeline starting from high poly and low poly then baking down the details and making sure the UVs are packed efficiently. Texturing the asset was really fun and I learnt a lot of new tricks and techniques along the way. It was then rendered in Marmoset toolbag.
